How are things ? ok so for the whole Skype thing / face chat i still have no idea when I will be able to or what are the days we can..... so ya next p day or Wednesday I will let you know. ya I just plan using Facebook because its the easiest and the quickest but we need to have a plan be so maybe tanner can try setting up a Google hangout account. a lot of elders here use Google hangout so that might be a good plan be for us. ya I got the package and thank you mom so much for the socks I'm wearing them right now hahaha. ya I'm getting tired of wearing the same black socks every day so now with these I can liven things up a little. hey mom I need help with my family history...... so I need the dates for everyone in the family ( Tanner, Chase, Emma etc. ) I need the ( birthdate, where were they born etc) I also want some pictures of grandpa and grandma I'm working on my ( my family ) flyer. It's a flyer that talks about family history so I'm trying to stick pictures of everyone in it. so ya when you have time please send me those  . oh get Emma to do it hahha. so for tanner he is a extra large along with chase too right ? and here they sell really nice leather purses for nothing so i will try and find something for her. ya I plan on leaving almost everything here so other elders can have some good clothes to use. ya the people here are a little against the USA so if they think its a us tradition they wont do it hahaha. the pride of these people amazes me some times. but we do see some trees and some nativity's but not a lot....... super sad  wow we paid 38 pesos last month for power and water hahah man that's something that I love about here the utilities are super cheap!!! gas is pretty much free! well its super hot but im loving it and all is well.

Pearl Harbor Day!

Wow I totally forgot about Pearl Harbor day. ya I bet tenner has a different view of looking at things now. So there is taco bell now on our part of Nampa???? ya I'm soooo happy now I can eat there more often and get to practice my Spanish there after the mission. So ya the charge was for a pair of shoes that I bought my shoes that I use for Sunday I started using every day and now they are really shoot..... so ya now have these for Sundays only and the other pair for every day. Also I have my boots for the winter. and ya I was a little sick and I bought some vitamins to help with my health. ya I'm sorry I have  used a lot of money these last months  will try and limit my spending. sorry and my new comp is named Elder Conforme he is from Ecuador and he is super funny and super great!!!! One of my new favorite comps here in the mission. its a lot of stress training him but its also super fun to see him learn and not know what to do like me when I was young in the mission. well its super hot but our land lord lent us her fan so ya now we are a little bit better. well all is well but we need to start planning when we are going to skype for Christmas

December is Here!!!

I’m thanksgiving has come and passed like a whirl wind and now starts the countdown to Christmas!!! Overall my Thanksgiving was super low key or in other words a little boring. All we did was work and try and have a successful day. Now that I think about it that day we did have some chicken so ya I guess it’s somewhat like turkey hahah. Well today is transfer and guess what!!! I’m training!!!!! ya I’m super happy and stoked, my old comp is going home and I’m getting someone straight from the MTC. So he will be full of energy and the desire to work hard so ya I’m super excited to train. I will get my new comp Wednesday, till than I will be with some elders in the same city (Centinario, Neuquén, Argentina). This week I sent some money with a member to Buenos Aires and he bought some mesh garments for me so ya now I’m super happy and a lot cooler in this heat. And what a difference in Tanner and Chase they look super different and a lot bigger and really old. Wow man hopefully I will be able to recognize them when I get home. So ya this week has been a little better I have found some really good people and the situation with my comp has come to an end. So it was super funny today...... so I’m here in the bus station waiting and two kids show up from the USA looking for their brother (Elder Slavens who just ended the mission) so we are talking saying ya I bet he is on the way right now and then he shows up and man what moment to see him give his brothers a huge hug after now seeing his brothers for 2 years. What a moment!!!! Hopefully after the mission I can do that to my two brothers after the mission. Well mom other than that all is well I’m happy, eating, sleeping, working hard to the best of my ability. Tell everyone that I miss them and I love them!

Happy Thanksgiving!

So I will say now I haven't seen snow in more than 2 years haha!!!! and man you guys a little adventure for Emma's birthday!!!! hey mom something you should do is look for some Mormon messages to share with her about marriage so some that can help her get her head on right and go back home to her parents. so ya now I have the sun screen now I just have to remember to put it on every day and more than once in the day. hahaha that's the hard part..... and wow really that's super sad to hear about uncle Boyd. He is super strong he will get through this. Dang I hate bk so much they need to go up and play some different people so we can win state some time. well everything is moving along here in the mission..... please pray for me I've been really down and a little home sick.

Well I'm sorry I don't have much time mommy but tell Emma happy birthday and that I miss her and love her a lot! oh man I miss snow so much its soooooooooooo hot right now I'm dyeing from my super red nose. right now I'm the red nosed rain deer named Elder Ashworth. So all is well really hot but I'm going to send some money with a member and he is going to buy me some mesh garments in Buenos Aires. So I'm using your tip about putting my garments in water before I go to bed and man it really works and I'm taking cold showers before I go to bed to. I'm soooo sorry mom I have no time..... the sever closed early and now we are going to go play futball ( soccer) so ya I love you all and thanks for every thing that you do for me.

Fall is here...brrrrrr!

Ya sorry I have no pictures for this birthday...... I worked and didn't really do anything Friday I had a super big lunch Sunday with some members that was super awesome. Man I really miss Wendy's chicken nuggets and fries that might be the first place I go after I get home or Panda Express hahaha. Man I was really hoping that this year was the year that we were going to win state and go all the way. Wow my baby sister is growing up so quick I cant believe it!!!! Well I'm sorry mom I ran out of time emailing my tickets or receipts to the office but all is well I miss you all dearly and I hope you all are doing good.

November 7th...Happy Happy Birthday! 21

Thank you mommy so much for the box!!!!!! It got here last Tuesday and I really love it!!!! I really like the ties and the music is super awesome I really love it and of course the movie is super awesome. I think this movie is better than 17 milagros and super motivating to me. I have the flags put up on the wall so I can see them every morning when I get up to pray. Thank you for the stickers I put all of them in my scriptures Wednesday in the morning.

So my comp right now is a mini elder.... he is from a city close to my city. He came because we are lacking some elders so ya I’m with him. The funny thing is this week is his birthday to so ya we are going to celebrate our birthdays together with some members. Traditionally for birthdays we have asados or BBQS so a lot of meat and a lot of good food!!!! So ya I’m super excited for Saturday.

So I was really happy Halloween night.... so we were heading back home and all of  sudden 5 or 6 little kids came around the corner dressed up for Halloween and tried scaring me hehe. Super awesome it looks like Halloween is starting to spread to Argentina.

Ya I will try and buy some pink ribbon today or tomorrow so I can sow it or put it on my socks for the 6th. So right now one of my many favorite scriptures is D&C 6 33-37 it talks about how we shouldn’t have fear to do what is right because one day we will have our reward for doing the right thing. There are a lot I like right now I will send you some more next week. So ya just an update I’ve been in the apartment pretty much all day Saturday and Sunday. Something in the food really hit me hard this week..... Not pretty. But today I feel a lot better so ya I’m all good.

I got some cards for my birthday

Who got hurt mom? ha-ha oh ya I got some cards for my birthday ha-ha how many did you send mom? I think I have like 15 hahah a ton! thanks mom for doing that for me it means a lot to me. so a sister should be sending you or dad some pictures from this weekend. I think you will like them..... so Saturday I went to a baptism in Neuquén capital and I was the guy that got to baptism the girl (old investigator from my last area). so ya last Tuesday the assistants to the president called me letting me know that I was allowed to go and baptize Jackie! It was a huge surprise to me and I was super happy to hear that she finally was ready to get baptized. So Saturday I took a bus with my comp to Neuquén and we had the baptism. There wasn't a lot of people there but it was super spiritual (she was crying the whole time) and I'm super happy and blessed to have been part of it! So this week is transfers and I'm staying here in Centinario, my new comp is a member from here in Neuquén. I don't know him or his name but I'm excited and nervous to have to train him. Well I have to go now sorry

Happy Fall!

It’s the same here, in the mornings its super cool and in the afternoons it’s super-hot and in the evening its cooler. I guess that’s one of the benefits of having dirt streets ha-ha the heat isn’t trapped in the concrete. Truth be told that is one of the things I miss most is paved streets and grass ha-ha. You miss a lot of the simple things before the big things ha-ha (grass, paved streets, garbage cans, clean water). Tell Emma thanks I got the pictures and wow they are soo cute!!! They don’t look a lot like Jess more like the dad but they are super cute. You should tell Emma to look at the sex of them so I know. Ha-ha I remember all the times I went to haunted world with Kolton, Cameron, Jacob, Austin, Cody and the whole gang. ya it’s sad that all of the dances are like that. Just so you know I was a guy that danced like that. Ha-ha Caldwell sucks so it should be a good fun game tho. Ha-ha senior year I was talking to rusty the trainer asking him to help me get a job there. It would be a fun job to have.

ya for conference I missed a lot of the talks because there wasn’t a TV in English so ya I just chilled with some elders. So ya I’m going to download the conference and watch it in the morning.  ya this part of Argentina is super pretty and super country. ya I’m really likening it a lot and ya I’ve lost some  weight tho I had to cut my belt because I’m losing to much ha-ha so ya I bought some vitamins and some food with my personal card to try and stop the weight lose..... wow that year and a half passed really quick for her I bet. ya this last week I meet a legend who served in Chile brother Tapia. He baptized like 500 people but the question is how many are active. Well all is good

Homecoming! 2014

Could you tell Emma I didn’t the photos and maybe she could try again when she has time? Haha I’m super excited to see them.....! Wow que bueno that we won finally ha-ha. ya I wasn’t that into things like that but my kids will be tho haha. truth be told I’m keeping better care of my teeth now that when I was home ha-ha they  are really white and I floss every day!!!!! Well ...... almost every day or at least I’m trying ha-ha. ya I never stayed awake but now I think I’m older and understand the importance and apply in my life better. That’s super sweet that Daniel was homecoming king he is super sweet and super nice. So who was the girl that Chase went with? We’ll all is good here I’m enjoying the mission and the rain that we are getting this week. I have something in my eye so I got to go and try and wash it out but all is good

I need to focus on my journal more

ha-ha me and chase are the same I'm just a fan of people touching my feet ha-ha. And happy birthday mommy or feliz cumpleanos! Its crazy that a year has pasted since your last birthday! I remember the last time it was your birthday I was in Villa Ceferino with my first comp in the mission. I've always loved the primary song for when its someone's birthday ¨ one year older and wiser too¨ the things we learn in one year is truly amazing! I have learned sooo much in this year it has really changed who I am. oche that sucks about football but oh well as long as he is having fun that's all that matters. The mental strength that I have now is all due to my time in football ha-ha. There are a lot times when I want to quit but then I think back to all times I pushed through in football it helps me go on. Thanks a lot mom for the pictures I got them and ya Jess is really fat now ha-ha but I'm super excited to see my little pups. ya right now I'm illegal so ya I don't know what I'm going to do.... maybe go to Chile again. I will look for a converter and let you know. man I'm super stoked for conference I cant believe that one year has passed by already. well all is well here in Argentina, spring has sprung with weeds and rain ha-ha. ya I have some service planned out and I'm going to be pulling weed!!! yaaaaaa so ya I'm a super pro at that ha-ha.

ya I heard about the change in the name for Salt Lake City hahah I heard about the train its called the slut so I've heard about shirts that are pretty bad not good for the imagine of Utah. ya I could never live in Utah Valley or Alpine valley I like Logan and northern Utah but southern Utah or middle Utah no ha-ha. To many Mormons that are stuck up and that don't know how to be around non Mormons. ya I'm super stoked to go to the Salt Lake temple after the mission. A lot of the elders in the mission have invited me to stay at their houses after the mission. What is doTerra? Is it the brand of the oil? I've seen some little bottles that look like they have oils but I've only seen like one type and I have no idea what it is. It would be fun to work in Argentina but they lack a lot of they basic comforts that I like so ya unless I checked out the north like Mendoza or by there. How are nana and papa doing heath wise? And how is Grandma doing heath wise? So Skyview lost to Emmet? Wow it sounds like we aren't winning  that much this year...... is it prom? or home coming? and who did Chase ask? hey that's what I did with Amanda when I asked her to homecoming ha-ha. oh mom you have to see the Mormon message about her its super good it really helps me keep going when I don't want to. ha-ha what a super funny story and super weird of a guy ha-ha.  ya mom you have to  get on Emma to take pictures of Jess. uggg  I'm struggling with my journal I'm bored with writing the same things every day..... I need to focus on my journal more as a spiritual things to write about spiritual moments. Well I'm walking a lot and I bought some sun glasses but the sun is super strong and its giving headaches and they will help me stop squinting.

I got transferred to a new area called Centinario, Neuquén Argentina

Hey so ya I got transferred to a new area called Centinario, Neuquén Argentina. Its a area super calm and super boring ha-ha naw but I have a lot to do here. The last elders here left the area really dead and really unorganized. so ya I'm going to have to work a lot to get the area going again with members and investigators. My new comp is named Elder Maluenda he is from Santiago Chile my second comp from Chile ha-ha. He is younger than me in the mission by 6 months so ya I'm senior comp for the first time in my mission. so ya now I'm in charge and if some thing bad happens its on my head.

Its all good I like the challenge and now we can hopefully change the area. so ya this week  has been really nice not too hot or too cold. this coming week starts spring so ya the heat will be coming soon and strong. so this Saturday and Sunday we had stake conference and I got to see him and on the 27 he will get baptized and I think I will be able to go so I'm happy. so Wednesday I get 14  months in the mission so ya I'm a little bit older and more tired. ya I have to cut my hair this week because we have interviews with President. Well other than that I'm golden I miss the whole gang a lot.

Fall Football

ya now that I think about ya it probably wont make it the oils and ya some of the stuff were for the apartment but I will get the money back this week. why are you going to Salt Lake ? So this week has shown me that my heavenly father has a lot of love for me and likes to do jokes or at least try my faith. This last week was the last week of the transfer and I knew that I was going so I started to think in my new area and where is that I might go. Also this last transfer we didn't have much success so its was super hard to. so I prayed that I might have better success in our area.... so one day I was walking with my comp and we went to the house of a lady that we talked to but she wasn't there. So we had nothing to do and no back up plan but I had the feeling that we should go the house of a member and visit them. We went and met the nephew of the brother so is super awesome! He wants to get baptized and he stopped smoking on his own accord before he smoked 20 cigs a day and just one day he stopped and hasn't smoked since! Its a true milagro! but the thing is I got the call to leave and now I wont be able to teach him or see him get baptized but I'm glad my Heavenly Father answers my prayers. So other than that I'm happy.

Survived the first week of school!

ha-ha Emma isn't a morning person like me or dad ha-ha. Well that's good she found her way and didn't get lost. She is going to love Mr. Andros he is super funny and good. ya I heard that chase and Emma are going to seminary! Que Bueno ! that will be awesome but I heard there are new rules to go on a mission and you have to complete seminary... so ya you should find out about Chase and see if its true. So is Chase excited to end high school? is Tanner still studying international business? uggg I have no idea what I want to study when I get home..... I still have the idea of Physical Therapy but I'm not totally sure. Wow Columbia and Kuna went 5A that's cool so 4A should be a little bit easier this year. did anyone come down from 5a or did anyone go up from 3A? and who is the team to beat this year? is this the year Skyview will win state? I didn't feel a thing but the animals where a little bit more aggressive this last week I don't know if the earthquake played a role in  that. so Caleb is going to Chile and Lupe is going to temple square right?

So lately I've have lost all my desire to write in my journal ..... nothing good or interesting has happened. we have lost all of our investigators and we don't have anyone to teach right now! I'm super stress and really trying to find the people but we aren't having any success in my area. hopefully things change..... so yesterday I finish the book in Spanish for the second time in the mission! I'm going for the third time and I'm going to start the old testament or the new again. hey so maybe in a card you can send me the set of stickers for the scriptures. like those ones I put in my Bible and Book of Mormon. that would be awesome. another that I'm golden like Midas

San Diego Temple

Really ha-ha that's crazy about the plane did they give them all free food or something? man if I was in the plane I would have freaked out! so overall the wedding was really good? man I don't want to think about it about its me or Cody that will get married next.

Well this week was good and bad...I'm nurse Ashworth right now. so my comp had to have some ingrown toenails taken out and who has had a lot of those this guy ha-ha so ya I gave him all of my wisdom and knowledge about toes. he was pretty freak-out about the operation. and the place we went wasn't the best. I saw some heath rules get broken( touching your face with gloves on or door knobs and etc. ) but over I'm super well and hating my broken keyboard.

Summertime is here!

No I think that was in the south the city or the area he is in has a lot of snow right now. No Neuquén has only had rain yaaaaa I'm so happy ha-ha ya not really. so I'm thinking right now that I haven't seen snow in more than a year or  two. ya I'm missing the cold white stuff. Ya I cant believe how fast time is going by its blowing my mind. Man how lucky are they!!! they saw elder Perry in the temple and this week the prophet. Are you guys driving down to cali in your car or in tanners? Hopefully chase doesn't get lost in the airport and is fine with flying. ya the milk here is garbage it really suck some times it makes me sick. What Logan is going on a mission? that's awesome!!! Ya things are pretty calm they are made at every white elder because they think we are from Germany. Friday I had to two guys try robbed me but they didn't get anything I talked my way out of it ha-ha ya I was with another elder from Utah that doesn't really speak so ya I had to put on my big boy pants and get us out off there. It went well and I'm safe and sound. today I got my new comp!!! Elder Anderson he is from Utah and is super cool so ya I'm happy. well I have to go so I love you mommy and tell everyone I love them.

Hey mommy how are your? Getting ready to leave for Cali? enjoy the sun right now its raining and cold finally winter has come with vengeance. so I have a little over a year in the mission and wow how can I describe the mission? Its awesome I truly love the mission so much and I cant believe the time is passing so fast. I'm going to cry like a baby when the mission ends so I wont think about the end anymore. it has been the best year in my life but it has also be the hardest year of my life the challenges with my companions and with our investigators. the mission is truly physical and a mental challenge. This coming transfer in with Elder Anderson from Salt Lake Utah. He is from my group and super cool I'm super stoked to be with him and work together. I'm not going to end my time here in Heller without a baptism. we have some really good investigators all we need to do is push a little hard and be better. well wish Dusty and Holly congratulations on the weeding and tell the family I really miss them a lot

 

Hey Emmers how are you ? man i really miss you and Artie!!! ya if you can believe it i miss Artie. ya things are better now that the world cup is over but now everyone is mad at me because they think I'm from Germany. so ya they yell at me and come up to me to hit me so I always have to show them my passport so they calm down. this are good well be good and enjoy California

I thought you were going to take more time off so spend time with Emma and Chase and go to the temple? so I still need to burn my shirt I haven't had time this week I'm been running around like crazy trying to get our goals for this week. we almost made all of them but oh well there is always the next week to be better. so ya for my year mark all; I did was make scrabbled eggs and cereal for breakfast some a little extra. overall the day was quick and good but ya I'm super happy to be a missionary! Man after the mission I really want to go camping but I never want to sleep in a sleeping bag again in my life !!!!!!! Nunca Jamas !!!!!! ya I saw the next temple movie right before; I left the MTC;I really liked it a lot the graphics are super good ha-ha. well tell the family that I love them

World Cup 2014

More like drunken celebration!!!! ha-ha there are still drunk guys in the street ha-ha ya they know they lost but they bought the beer so they celebrated ha-ha! ya I stayed in the flat all Sunday so ya I got bored so I cut my hair and read a lot and napped.... it was a boring Sunday. ya I love the healthy grooming habits of the people here ha-ha. the fact is me and my comp were praying that Argentina would lose so the people wouldn't be to prideful after the cup... maybe are prayers were answered or the prayers of the saints in Germany were answered.... ya I was thinking of buying some socks (thermals) and some more thermal garments or under armor and a tie. ya I'm staying warm my socks are taking off all of my leg hair ha-ha when I get home I'm will have legs perfects for the pool ha-ha but no everything is holding up good.  Well I will send you pictures next week of the shirt and some ones that I've taken this month.

Fun Stuff

So one thing that was interesting is... so this week every morning I've been hearing a ton of birds!!! I mean a ton like thousands so I finally went out side and to my surprise I saw thousands of parrots heading north to Brazil for the winter. That's something ha-ha they are really loud but super pretty they are totally green but super cool! Some people here have parrots for pets but I didn't know that they are from here in Argentina. Mmmm so my comp right now is a trial of my faith and patience because he doesn't want to work is a little disobedient. He is from Uruguay and be speaks really well in English but we only talk in Spanish because I'm really trying to get good in Spanish. We are teaching a old man named Mario Pintos that had a stroke 4 years ago that really wants to get baptized and has received his answer about the Book of Mormon, but his family wont let him.... so ya its a problem we are trying to work on. he might be baptized this Saturday but we will have to see. When we are in the street we play games in Spanish and kick stones ha-ha. Well I will finish the list next P-day I'm running out of time ha-ha.

 

How is Cody with everything? I remember time was really weird right before the mission it went by so quick and I tried so hard to make good memories with my friends and family before I left.  I'm awesome about to get one year and I'm really happy the mission is truly the best two years of my life! There are moments when I want to sit down and do nothing but I remember those moments when I felt the spirit and I'm always trying to find moments to feel it again. Well tell everyone in the family I love them and miss them and wish Cody good luck in his mission.

Mission Calls

So before I forget I finally have joined the club in the mission...... hmmm what club is that ? well the club is broke because we have all been robbed ha-ha ya me and my comp were robbed Friday night. ha-ha don't worry mom I didn't lose a single thing hhahah but my comp ya he lost a lot. ya I'm not happy about that but I'm glad I wasn't robbed. so Friday in the evening we had a ward activity in the church and after we went home to sleep. So around 1230 my comp wakes me up saying that there is some one in the kitchen robbing us.... so I get up grab a big stick that we have in the apartment to protect our selves and head to the kitchen. And what does my companion do? he jumps into his sleeping bag and pulls it over his head and try's calling the police. so I went to war alone ha-ha so I entered the kitchen and it was empty but the door was wide open and the police showed up and scared them off. so ya they only had moments to steal so they only grabbed the backpack of my comp and ran. so ya it was interesting.... I'm blessed nothing of mine was stolen. But now we have to get a new door and make it super strong and put a metal screen door on too. but other than that all is well! I'm staying here for another transfer with my comp...... ya I'm not super happy about this but oh well its part of the mission. Wow that's awesome Lupi is going to love that mission and what language is she going to speak ? so ya once you find out about Austin let me know.

 

ya I got the card thank you mom i thought I wrote  that in my last card but I guess not..... sorry. Was there a lot of people at Cody's talk? I imagine there was a lot Cody is super good with people. so what did you guys eat? so what is the weather like in this part of Mexico? so who is the friend of Chelsey? he looks really old? ya imagine the only letters Cody will get in Mexico will be in the MTC or emails. and how are dusty and Holly? dusty is living with grandma right? What time is seminary? and man I loved debate so much i love to argue as you know ha-ha! Emma would love it and the teacher is super awesome really pushing her student's to be better and think. Tyler Hatch really loves her a lot. haha its like Lilo and stitch they weren't the perfect family but there was love at time some anger but they learned a lot from one another. my family isn't perfect but there isn't a perfect family I have learned so much in my life from you and dad I am the product of a great mom and dad. I'm so proud of my family and who I am. I'm miss my family so much and I'm so excited to be a missionary and a member of the church! its crazy this transfer I will reach one year in the mission. i have learned so much its crazy!!!!! well is well her.

I know I cant believe that it is almost one year or 365 days ha-ha! I keep asking myself where is the time going? this week I have done a lot of personal meditation about what type of man/ missionary I want to be?, am I truly changing or just for the mission? it something I love about the mission the time I have to think about who am I.

 

Things are still hard with my comp but I really worked hard and we had really good numbers this week and we found some new people to teach. Also this week we might have a baptism so ya I'm really praying that Mario feels ready to get baptized. ya I'm going to burn the shirt I ruined in the airport (the ink). I realized once I got here (my area) I only have 3 long sleeve shirts and I started with 6 yaaaa I'm not sure what happened. but I should be fine winter here isn't that bad and I'm not washing very much. but the movie Ephrams rescue would be awesome. and ya I was really humbled when I came to Argentina and I imagine that tanner is really learning a lot about the world and being humbled too. and that is good his roommates are members too. well wish Cody good luck for me and tell Emma I say hi and all is good here in the land of the sun.

Hello from Logan!

So Chase did go to fathers and sons after all hahah where was fathers and sons this year?
so how is grandma keeping busy and enjoying having room mates in the basement?

Wow that is really cool is it a big stadium like the Boise hawks or is it a high school field? and this was the last week of school right? so what are the plans for this summer?

sounds familiar i think tanner might have talked to me about him before or i heard about him in sports center. Well that will be fun for chase to actually play with the best players in the state and have a good game.

ya i need to see how blake and his family is.... haha that is funny about adem he must be really young and middleton wasnt really a rival but a good team i dont know why he is so mad at adem.well things are good here in Nuequen im struggling to get my companion to work but that is part of the mission....

so something spiritual that happened to me was saturday night i woke up with a really really bad headach and i didnt have anything to help so i tried my normal tricks to get rid of it but nothing worked..... so i prayed like ive never prayed before pleading for help and less than 5 min later i was better and i could go back to sleep.this night i really felt the lords hands on me and the love of my heavenly father. well all is well

Last week of school

wow that's crazy!!!! its been so long since I graduated and ha-ha now I'm getting older in the mission and soon I will hit one year. wow that awesome about track!!!! why did they let go all of leaders and what you think you new calling will be? ha-ha is she still struggling to get up in the morning and tell Emma to think about debate I think she would really like it a lot the teacher is super awesome. oh that is super sucky but seriously chase could win track and get a lot of offers for track or help him a lot more in football but if like losing that's his thing ha-ha oh well.. ha-ha my prayers are getting answered and hopefully it is strong enough to last the summer. haha wow ha-ha I'm going to share that with the members to let them know miracles happen. I'm still really stressed with the language I'm not where I want to be and just being spiritual is at times hard. I'm really learning about repentance and how great the atonement is. I will let you know when it gets here.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!!!

Wow what a week! So to start of with, I don't know if you got my photos but I baptized a  teenager named Marcos he has 17 years. So last Sunday I baptized him and than this Sunday I confirmed him a member of the church. And after I confirmed him we were thinking it would be super awesome if he could baptize his mom who was going to get baptized after church. So we talked with the bishop and he agreed it would be super special if he could baptize his mom. So Marcos had a interview with the bishop and then I confirmed him a priest in the church. I was so happy and blessed to have that opportunity to set him a part as a priest because that doesn't really happen really often in the mission baptize, confirm, and confirm! Then after church as a surprise he came outside of the bathroom all in white ready to baptize his mom! She didn't know any of this so ya it was a surprise! Truly a blessing.

 

Then Tuesday this week Juan Mendoza got baptized by a member in the ward. I have been teaching Juan for 4.5 months and finally he got baptized!!!!! Awesome ya I'm super stoked. And Saturday is transfers and I'm leaving so I'm glad I'm leaving on a high note.

 

You should e-mail when you can talk it just like Christmas I can talk any day this week but once I get settled in my apartment tomorrow I can start to find a time to talk.

Almost MAY!

Ok I will let you know. Hey I got the envelope that you mailed to me in Jan. I love the calendar and the members loved it too I showed to they in the church because that’s was when I got it. I told them the members in the church are crazy about it! I told them to watch Mombersters and Mormons ha-ha. You will have to let me know who it is the play. Wow that is sooo cool and I’m soo proud of Emma! What a good missionary! Do you know the family? What is their names? ha-ha ya its always scary as a missionary when we bring people to the church and the members don’t say hi or aren’t super nice to them. Well hopefully your grass is a fighter and will pull through. Wow that would be cool if Chase played college football. I heard there were other schools that were looking at him to play. Is that true?

 

I’ve noticed that the more I’m working out I have more energy and strength to get up in the morning. Now I get up and its really easy for me. Haha ya I’m thinking next year too and hey look and Stef Davies she had that old diesel car that was really ugly and it didn’t bother her. Ha-ha I’m excited to see the wedding pictures of them together. Wow mom that’s a lot of time are you guys having time to study together and have family home evenings. hah ya I miss Hosa a lot butthey have hosa in collage so ya I’m excited for that. ya I got the pictures of Jay and Mancinos. Hey so I had the chance to finally baptize someone in the mission. Sunday the sisters had a baptism and I was the one that baptized Marcos. He is a young kid around 16yrs old. He told the sisters he really looks up to me and really wants to serve a mission. So ya I was really honored to do that. I will send a picture.  Ya I was really nervous I messed up 3 times before I got it right. oh wow and the water was like the river Jordan it was really, really dirty I have no idea why but super, super dirty and cold. After we had a little ward party ate pizza and cake. overall my favorite Sunday in the mission.

Happy Easter!!!

Just that you know if you are here in Argentina during Easter don’t try and buy meat its impossible ha-ha. Ya here it was really different for Easter no bunnies, no plastic eggs, no big meals or funeral potatoes. Ya since Argentina is really catholic this whole week has been stuff about Easter (Semana Santa). Ya I heard that it was really good I hope that someone in the mission has it so I can watch it too. It’s about the pioneers right?

 

So Saturday we had a service project as a district to help a family in our ward. So the service project was to help clean up their land and fill out bathroom holes (Ya they just dig holes) so Ya that was fun and interesting.  While we were cleaning the holes of garbage we found like 15 rats and they were really, really big I have never seen a rat so big. And in the spirit of Easter we killed them ..... Ya it was really mean but rats here are really bad and the government wants them dead. But after we filled the holes with dirt the sister came out side and asked if we could kill 18 chickens that they have and she can cook them for us. So ya after that we killed chickens. It was a first for me and something I don’t really want to do again. But they tasted really good and the pleasure of killing your own food was good. So ya Saturday was a very interesting day. We also talked with one of our investigators and he wants to get baptized so we are going to have his baptism on the 29th. So ya that is really good I’m super happy for him. Good luck with the lawn mom ha-ha. Ok sent them when you can I would love to see these pictures ha-ha. Ya

 

I thinks cards or envelops should be fine..... I hope and ok I won’t use my card till I know when it expires. Right now in town I think there is group or a play of the nut cracker ha-ha ya I thought it was funny when I saw this sign about it. Is Tanner nervous? And how long will he be there for? Is he all packed? And what will he do there? And shoot that is hard to be part of a losing team.... and no my headaches have been fine. I sort of sick right now last week I took money off the card to buy some fruit, Vicks vapor rub( super expensive here), some vitamins, ibuprofen, some cough drops, and a pill for my esophagus it really hurts. Ya for now I should be fine. They say it will rain a lot the end of this week so ya I’m getting for this.

Happy Sabbath!

The truth is I’m not even sure if I did my taxes I hope I did.... ya we had p-day on Tuesday last week because we couldn’t leave the apartment because there was too much rain and the streets were flooded! Ha-ha but now it’s all good but now comes the clean-up of the city there are some members that lost their home due to the rain and flooding. but for now I should be back to having p day on Mondays.

Will they close the school for this? Wow really that’s awesome that he is showing more drive to go to the dances than I had ha-ha I lacked the energy or the drive to do stuff like that. You should send me a picture of Chase and her so I have a picture and tell chase he needs to write more! Did he bear his testimony in German and wow how crazy I didn’t think he had that much time left in the mission... and how much did he lose? Who was there from football? Was coach Young there? ha-ha ya the mission is really fast the worst moments in the mission are still some of the best memories of my life I love the mission !!!!!!!!! Wow there are a ton in Buenos Aires right now ha-ha what mission? Wow what lucky ducks those are super awesome missions and ya I know them I had Landon in my seminary class him and we were always together he is very good kid. What were the traditions you had mom in the different countries you lived in ? Wow really what city is he going to living in?

Spring Break!

Ha-ha finally we are about to have some what same weather. Here is around 67 and no rain but really awesome I love it. this week is transfer and we will see what happens. Ya lately with meetings and stuff we have had p-day on Tuesday but today is normal. I remember pie, and ya I did pie day with bright and Crawford. so what did Tanner do that was fun for spring break? ha-ha is pretty and does it run or no and ha-ha maybe Emma can drive it. ha-ha I think I know who she is her mom is a teacher and that is awesome and ya the guys in the 19 ward are really good and brother Stringam is really awesome and there is Danny Prynne too. ha-ha I need a photo of Artie. ha-ha that should we funny to watch bishop sing and who is your bishop again? ha-ha I love Mormon Messages we are going to start using them is lessons with kids.  Love you mom

Wow that is a lot of meat..! how much does he make and do they get tips there? how is the weather in Utah? is there snow on the ground? That will liven things up for grandma? Wow she will be talking by the time I get home ha-ha. ha-ha in the photo that you sent be she look a lot like Drew with really big ears ha-ha. Oh is the new hospital clinic by Costco running good or not really? Ya I'm in a Stake Center so I should have a big TV and there will be a lot of missionary there so I will be able to talk to a lot of friends this week.

 

Wow really that is super awesome I knew they would be together ! and that will be super special for them. Well wish them congrats for me and I love you mom.

Ha-ha ya me and dad went to a game once in burns. Its really small and really windy and boring. I feel really sorry for those missionaries in burns that would be a really hard place to live there is nothing there. They probably don't live there just work there for a day and than go back to a bigger city to live but they could live there and if so that blows. who is the coach? and ya they don't win much anyways.... ya you told me about prom and you should try and sent me some photos if Chase took any and if not oh well. ha-ha that's funny our ward did something like that for a talent show the young men sang a song and danced it was really funny!

Us elders we did a skit that was really funny turned out good. in my mission there is a missionary from Logan Elder Rendell he went to Logan High really good guy. I think he played baseball maybe the barkers know him. wow that is awesome and ya I never heard of a baptism in Nampa in all of my time growing up there but the thing was  I wasn't really listing for this before the mission. That is really awesome hopefully he can get baptized this week. I have a baptism this week but we will have to see because he has a lot of problems and doesn't have a super strong understanding of stuff. He says he will be baptized this week, but if he isn't really I'm not going to baptize him. I don't want him to fall and have that over my head. If anything I want to have a interview with the bishop and we can talk about some of his doubts.

Ya a missionary from Venezuela that was serving in Colombia died. So ya  things are getting a little crazy in the north in my part of the world its super calm the people are too lazy to do anything like that ha-ha. I will be interesting what will happen when the World Cup starts I heard the work is really slow and hard in the World Cup. Ya idk he doesn't really act a lot better but I'm not sure and wow I didn't know that.

March Madness!

Wow Twin falls won what a Surprise I completely forgot about them. Lately no I haven’t been playing a lot of soccer. a lot of the time for p-day we are doing stuff like going a district and eating or watching a movie together or a lot of stuff and sometimes I don’t want to play so I play cards with people and lately I’ve been a lot sicker so a lot of the time I’m just chilling and trying to drink a lot of clean water. Is Tanner going to go help out coach Bobo with the kids or is he done with that and moved on... and ya I really miss track a lot but I’m so out of shape right now that I would be a joke if I tried going to a track practice right now. I not really a fan of lacrosse it’s a lot of kids that smoke pot and a lot of kids that shouldn’t play because they have bad grades but even the pot heads need a sport hahah. Wow that’s awesome about the rain and the moister and truly is a blessing from our heavenly father. Ya I want to go to the family history center and take a class and we can go and show the people about it because there are people that want to use that program. Sunday I had one but it was a baby one not really bad and ya I’m doing a lot better about drinking water but I need to remember I need to drink when it’s cold too. this week has been a lot better he seems happier and we talked a lot more but I hope things are getting better and maybe we will get up early to go run but  he has asthma so we will have to see what we can do like yoga or stretching. ya my visa is all good hopefully I will have one for a longer time or I will have to go to Chile again.

Well things went up in food so next week I will write down the costs of the food. all is well we have been working really hard and we are having a lot more success but ya it’s a battle every day but I love the mission it is so fun and a lot of the time I catch myself looking at the sky thinking how crazy it is I’m a missionary and pretty it is to be a missionary.

Oscars!

Ya we will have to see what can happen with basketball. Chase started lacrosse right? Ha-ha ya but that is the problem with every team sport... there are good players and bad. Ha-ha that's why I love track. It's a team sport but it's also a very individual sport.

I will have to look in my inbox but I haven't seen any (emails from Tanner)  Maybe my inbox is over full and I'm not seeing them. So when will he go to Asia and how does that whole program work?

Haha I bet Chase learned a lot of patience and a lot of ideas to teach basketball in a fun way. 

Chelsey's boyfriend... is he a member or not. Is he a lot older because I remember that she always liked going out with older guys and is she going to serve a mission or go straight into vet school .

Hahaha...I'm putting pesos down that Dusty and Holly will get married before I get home.

I'm excited... here is now Fall... it's still really hot but it's cooler at night and some days are a lot cooler than others.  The trees are starting to lose their leaves and it's really pretty.  I like my area a lot. haha Its funny, my idea of what is pretty or what is nice is changing a lot ha-ha .

So are we still in a depression or is that all over and now it’s all good. Oh...that's what you should do is starting down the prices of food so I can compare to the prices here.

That's good that you and Emma are starting to do that,  I heard somewhere that it takes 21 days to form a habit so if you and Emma can make it to 21 days... it will be better and easier to do.

Well other than that... all is good.  My companion has problems with depression so ya I'm having to deal with that. He doesn’t really like to talk and when we do the conversations die really quick... so I have a lot of time to think or turn my mind off or do random stuff and knock tons of doors. If it doesn't get better,  I will talk with President. and he told me has tons a pride and that is one thing that he is working on too.

Other than that all is good...

Olympics are over! :0(

Wow that's crazy !! Shaun White is like super man in snow! I think Argentina had someone competing in the Olympics.  You should let me know if that was a lie....I heard it's true.

Wow really that's a milagro (miracle) ha-ha but maybe the girls are working really hard this year, which is good. I think all of the guy sports need new coaches... some new blood to liven up the body. Ya it's fine... more than anything I don't have time to write everyone back in one P-day but the thought is what counts, huh??

Well...the mission isn't for everyone and that is awesome that Cody is going to serve a mission. It will change his life for ever!  Tell him my guess for his mission is Pocatello Idaho ha-ha. ya I've gotten one card and I should have a box. I called the mission office and they said they have paper work to take one of my boxes out!  So, ya...I will see what is inside or what isn't inside.

The mission is teaching my a lot of things about adversity and not giving up. It's something that is really helping me a lot. I might use this for a family home evening here.  That's something I need to think about more... is more family home evenings with members and less active members.

What was the Lego movie rated and ha-ha ya maybe I will watch it after the mission. Ya I love Greek history and I think that would be a cool movie and ya I've heard about that also... how bad Pompeii was. OK and ya after today I should be legal for another 3 months. Right now I'm really close to Chile, in a city called Batiloche Argentina... it's soo pretty mom... one of the prettiest cities in the country of Argentina. It is huge with tourists...I've helped translate for people because there are so many people for Europe and all over the world. It's super pretty in the mountains. Tomorrow we will go into Chile and get our passports stamped and than we can enter again as legal tourist. After that I'm hoping we will have a better visa or in 3 weeks I will have to come back and do this again. Right now or today I've had 8 hours in a bus... it's really comfy but not the funniest thing in the world. Other than that I'm all fine.

That is how every week is here in the mission

ha-ha mom that is how every week is here in the mission. Sunday and today were a little rough I've had the hard migraine every I cant rid of it and now I'm just tugging through hoping it will go away. Yet again another case of diarrhea but oh well that doesn't really
bother me anything. ha-ha ya my companion was my valentine for valentine day ha-ha .

Ya my new companion is from Bogota Colombia he is 21 and has about 1 year in the mission. He is super short and super funny and a very good missionary. I love him a lot just this week we have had a lot more success to that was nice we found 3 new people to teach and we put dates on all of them but we will have to see if they follow through with everything. You can be my valentine mom in 2015.

Ya I saw that Emma wrote which is super nice you should tell Chase that it wouldn't kill him to write his brother one time in the year. The movie 17 Miracles is super good about adversity and the stuff they suffered for the opportunity to worship or heavenly father. My companion has 3 siblings in the mission field his little brother is in Bolivia and his sister is in Brazil and his parents work at the MTC in Colombia. Ya I'm still waiting for my boxes I hope the government didn't take my boxes.

So ya we had the one baptism!

Ya sorry that wasn’t for the boxes some of it was to buy curtains for the pension or our apartment. But don’t worry, the church will reimburse me for the money but they will put it in my church card and I can use that for food or other stuff. The other part I bought some food and we had a party for our last p-day in this transfer.

 

So ya this is a new transfer but I’m staying but I’m getting a new companion. He is from Colombia and his name is Elder Superlano. He is a very good missionary and super funny and overall great I’m going to love him.. or that’s what everyone says. Ya Julie says they are doing that to in Utah. So hopefully you get some more snow too. Ha-ha that is so funny I’m going to have to do that one day when I get home. and what did he do to his knee? ha-ha I’m so jealous of you and Emma that would be so cool and wow Emma has gone to a lot of cool stuff this year. Does Tanner like working there or is he sort regretting it? Ya that is one of the first things I want to do when I get home is go to the temple. Wow really where is he going to live and work there and how does that all work?

 

So ya we had the one baptism of Ana Rosa and I confirmed her a member which was crazy and we have another guy that says he will get baptized when we fix his house so ya I guess I’m doing service this week ha-ha. It’s just hard this area or this country is pretty hard but we are starting to get our wheels going and hopefully we will have to time or chance to talk to new people. Ya I was dreaming in Spanish in the MTC now it depends if it’s a dream about something recent it’s in Spanish but if it’s about the life before the mission it’s in English.

 

Ya we play a lot of soccer I’m in a super huge fan but oh well. Ya we have ward activities every month that one was a talent show us elders did a skit in Spanish it was super funny. I love you mom and thank you for everything you’ve done for me.
